The HealthyPaws Salmon formula contains North Atlantic salmon fillets that are completely antibiotic and hormone free. They are farm raised in Nova Scotian coastal waters which ensures that they are parasite free, a potential hazard with raw, wild salmon. Whenever possible, the vegetables and fruits used are purchased weekly from local suppliers. The kelp is sourced from the shores of Nova Scotia and their fish oil is a blend of sardine and herring oil from the North Atlantic.
Salmon is low in saturated fat and is a source of high quality protein and contains other essential nutrients such as vitamin D, zinc and selenium. The Omega 3 fats found in salmon have been associated with contributing to a healthier immune system, a reduction of risk of specific cancers and age-related macular degeneration in the eyes.
